Personal Technology Tips in Plain English
I needed help myself!
Hmm…my first WordPress blog. One of plenty to come hopefully. But the famed 5-minute install wasn’t really 5-minutes! Of course, it would have helped if there was some documentation regarding how to install it on my host…1and1 Internet. It was a small detail that I had to figure out on my own, but it’s now all solved!
So I guess my first task is to write-up a quickie post about how to install this “free and powerful at the same time” WordPress blog app on a 1and1 server…coming soon!
I love tech, gadgets and the web. Hope you pick-up a useful tip or two here today that helps you use technology to your advantage! Better yet, why not share your own expertise in a comment on a post today to help the other readers that land here for answers!

I use 1and1 too, and they actually have a blog tool for free with hosting accounts, but I found that using WordPress is much better since it gives you more flexibility with blog themes, blog categories, etc.

After using this WP blog for a week, I must say that I like it better than the Blogger.com interface. However, there’s a couple of things that I haven’t figured out to do for which I envision for the blog. I guess over the next couple of weeks, I’ll learn a little bit each day and evolve this blog’s look/feel/nav/etc to where I want it to be. Enjoy the ride!
