The Hard Master Reset instructions for the Samsung Blackjack proved to be a popular article.  I’m glad that many people have been helped by it.

 

But seems like the Treo isn’t much better at avoiding major glitches once in awhile, so here’s instructions on how to do a hard reset on the Treo:

 

HOW TO PERFORM A HARD MASTER RESET ON THE TREO 750

  • Press the POWER BUTTON while also pressing the RESET BUTTON underneath the miniSD memory card door at the same time.
  • HOLD THE 2 BUTTONS until the screen goes black.
  • The screen will return and you see the option to “ERASE ALL DATA“
  • Select YES
  • Wait while your device is wiped clean and brought back to out-of-the-box condition

 

 

While you usually only do a hard master reset when you get into trouble, it’s also a great way to wipe everything clean before you give your phone away or sell it.  Or if you want to delete your entire addressbook or calendar and start again, or just want to start over and reinstall only the applications you really need to keep the device memory as free as possible.
