For P.A.i. (People Against iPhone): Opera Mini vs. iPhone [video]
Here’s just one more piece of ammunition for all the iPhone haters out there. . . While one of the strong points of the new Apple iPhone is the Safari web browser (that browses the “real” web) which displays web pages as if you’re viewing it on a regular pc’s browser, OperaMini v3.1 (or v4 Beta) is one strong case for non-iPhones to compete with a very capable mobile browser of their own. (And getting it won’t contribute to the next recession!)
You can test the actual interface with the online simulator before you even decide to download the browser application. Or you could just download the application right away via text link to your phone or straight to your desktop and port it to your phone.
It works with the Blackberry, most Treo’s and most other smartphones. Although it is not supported on Verizon Wireless right now.
Here’s a great head-to-head video of the Opera Mini vs. iPhone web browser in the classic Apple TV ad format:

FYI, my friend reports that the v3.1 operamini works like a charm on him on his Nokia E65. Yet another phone to add to the list that works with Opera Mini.
