The DVD rental wars are getting really confusing, isn’t it?

Pricing plans change. . . benefits change. . . All I want is to rent movies when I want to at a decent price!

    • $14.99/month = UNLIMITED by mail and 3 in-store rentals

The decision tree still remains the same for which Blockbuster Plan to subscribe to:

    • If you DO NOT have a Blockbuster store around you, you should NOT get a TOTAL ACCESS PLAN, but rather a BY MAIL ONLY plan.
    • If you DO have a Blockbuster store near you, a Total Acces plan allows you to exchange the DVD’s you get in the mail for a free rental at the store — so it all comes down to how often you actually will go to the store.
    • Next, you need to be realistic about how often you will actually sit down and watch a movie. If you only watch 1 or 2 movies a month, you can get away with only $5/month. If you are on vacation or at home sick or just a lazy old potato couch, you can go all the way for $25/month with unlimited movies by mail and in the store.

If you have never subscribed to an online movie rental service, you REALLY should go through a trial to see what’s it is like (and also to get FREE movie rentals during the trial period):

Which plan do you subscribe to? How many movies do you actually end up renting a month?
