Tivo’s ability to connect to the web via your home wifi network is finally starting to be exploited.

I’ve written about Tivo’s ability to basically turn into a PayPerView box with Amazon‘s Unbox Download Service for Tivo.  You can order and watch movies and tv shows from a growing catalog of video titles at Amazon.

Now, you can do more with your Tivo and it’s new connection to Rhapsody Music Service.  Basically you can stream any of millions of songs to your TV morphing your TV/Tivo into a new type of entertainment device.

You need to a flashplayer enabled browser to view this YouTube video

Cableboxes have long been able to do this, and now with a Rhapsody subscription, you can do it with your own Tivo without any added cost.

If you don’t have a subscription ($13/month, which gives you ability to listen on your PC, PDA, Tivo, etc), you can immediately activate a free 30-day trial through your Tivo.  If you do try it out, share your experience below and leave a comment!
