How To Make Free International Calls To / From 52 Different Countries
Can you hear me now (from Mexico)?
These days, there’s two separate commonalities taking over everyday life:
1) Everyone has a cell phone. Connecting with each other is no longer an inconvenience of waiting to get home or back to the desk at your office. You can and do instantly call or text message others instantly throughout the day.
2) The world is getting smaller. Your contact list now includes friends and family across borders. And when traveling, you’re not out of touch anymore as if you fell of the Earth.
Staying in touch and geographic location is increasingly becoming mutually exclusive to each other in concept.
Here’s a new web service that’s helping to accelerate this emerging trend in connecting with anyone globally instantly and FREEly. . .

As you can see the country list for Jaxtr.com is impressive.
Here’s how it works.
After signing up for a free acount, anyone can now call your directly from any one of the supported countries. The first time they want to call you, they enter their own telephone number and are assigned a local country direct dial number for you. They just need to call that assigned Jaxtr number from their current phone and it will immediately connect with you on your own phone across the globe or across the table. It’s based on caller ID, so if you’re initiating a call from a new outbound number, you’ll have to generate a new Jaxtr phone number each time, but that’s not a big problem if you are using Jaxtr to communicate with the same circle of friends.
To make it easier for you to spread the word so you can connect with more friends this way, you can import your contacts into your Jaxtr.com account from Yahoo!Mail, Gmail, Hotmail, AOL, LycosMail, Web.de, or your own Outlook contact list.
Another neat feature is the ability to post a widget to you WordPress or Blogger blog, LinkedIn profiles, eBay listings, Friendster, etc. You now have a way to let people call you without giving out your own telephone number.
The Jaxtr service also gives you controls for who actually will be put through or who will go to voicemail (and then you get sent a message to retreive the voicemails).
There’s also a nifty free service that allows you to send free text messages to any cell phone directly from their website.
If you have a friend or family member across the globe in one of the supported countries, Jaxtr provides a great (and free!) way to call each other directly without any hassles [once you create the direct dial local country number, you don't even have to use the website to call each other!]
