How To Get 70GB of Music on Your 8GB iPhone
If you have an iPodTouch or iPhone, you’re probably maxing out on the music playback capabilities of the device. In fact, I bet you probably shelled out a little more for the 8GB version just becuase you have so many songs you want to carry around with you.
The only problem is that from time to time, you get bored.
And you have to re-sync the Apple iPhone with your Mac or PC to swap out mp3 music files so that you have a fresh batch on your iPhone.
What if I said that you didn’t have to do it anymore! What if I said that there’s a way for you to play any song that’s on your computer at home even though you are across the globe with your iPhone?
And what if I said that you can play any song on your computer at home as well as from 30 of your friend’s computers as well? That would basically kill the need for that 8GB upgrade, no? Perhaps you could have saved a little more cash and gone with the 4GB version of the iPhone or iPod Touch?
This is one of those “must installs” for the iPhone that everyone is raving about.
Ok, ok, I’ll stop stalling…here’s how. . .
Simplify Media software lets you browse and play remote music using the iTunes and Winamp software interfaces. Music is streamed directly between computers over the Internet within small groups that you control. Your group can be made up entirely of your own computers, for example home and office. You can also invite friends to join. Once an invitation is accepted, you will be able to sort, search and play each other’s libraries when online, all within iTunes or Winamp.
Simplify Media for the iPhone is a great little download where you can connect to your PC over any wifi internet connection and stream any of the mp3 songs or playlists on your computer. It’s so seamless you’ll drop your jaw when you try it out.
So the only drawback is that this only works when you have a WiFi connection…but WiFi is so common these days..especially at friend’s homes.
The company states that this is completely legal — and there’s an actual limitation where you cannot burn CD’s locally when you’re streaming to another computer. So you’re not able to actually copy any files to the remote pc or to permanent media. But who cares if you can listen to your ENTIRE mp3 music library wherever you go with your iPhone?

And for those of you that are screaming…”BUT I DON’T HAVE AN IPHONE!?!?!”
Here’s an alternative solution that allows you to access files on your PC from any other PC on the internet or cell phone with Windows Mobile 5 or 6: AVVNUE

AVVENU (just bought by Nokia) even allows you to upload photos from your mobile phone back to your PC at home.
AND IF YOU DON’T HAVE A NIFTY CELL PHONE…There’s still hope!
Simplify Media also works from pc-to-pc. So if you are at work or at someone else’s place and you wanted to change the music and play music from your own collection on your pc at home, it works just as well. Perfect for when you’re at a party and the music just stinks. (This is a super feature if you have the output jack from your iPhone to the stereo….you’re all set to show off your iPhone!) Or if you’re at work and you need something to keep you going after that 2 hour lunch!
The streaming software supports MP3, AAC, WMA and even Apple Lossless can be played.
