Today’s tip will save you money, and save the world.

Did you know that 95% of the energy your cell phone charger sucks out of the electrical socket can be saved?

That’s right, by doing one simple trick, you can reduce your power consumption by 95%, but you’ll also be doing something green at the same time!

GreenhandsUSA.com recently shared a list of 5 different things you can do regarding cell phones for which Mother Earth will thank you for it. . .

Unplug your charger.
Unplug your cell phone charger when it’s not in use. Ninety-five percent of the power consumed by the average charger occurs while the charger is plugged in without a phone attached. And unplug your phone as soon as the charge is complete – it continues to suck electricity as long as it is plugged in. If it’s fully charged in two hours and you leave it in for four, you’ve paid for twice the electricity you need for a full charge.

That’s the easiest and most practical tip from their “How To Green Your Cell Phone” page.

Simple enough.  Caring enough.  Easy enough.
