#3 Reason Why NetFlix Customers Should Try Blockbuster
It’s amazing how Blockbuster picked up almost a MILLION new subscribers this past quarter. That’s an incredible amount of new customers — and it’s gotta be for a reason.
NetFlix used to have clear advantages over Blockbuster’s Total Access Online DVD movie rental business, but not anymore it seems. . .
Another reason why Blockbuster may be better suited for some people over NetFlix is pricing. Blockbuster is apparently considering launching a Mail-Only subscription flavor, so that you can’t double the # of DVD’s you can rent in any given month by swapping them at your local Blockbuster store for a free in-store rental (that policy is kind of insane for them in the first place). I believe the pricing will be something like $12.99 or $14.99 for 3 out anytime via mail.
If you’re paying the $18 or higher for one of NetFlix’s DVD rental plans, you may want to sign-up for a free trial of Blockbuster Total Access and see the difference, one of the major ones being that you can get free rentals at the local brick and morter store every month you subscribe.
