When Talking To Yourself Is Encouraged

C’mon, it’s 4th of July and there’s no way that you should be inside in front of your computer!

But you have so many thoughts about work running through your brain that MUST be followed-up.    Or maybe someone just told you of an amazing referral for the __________ you were looking for?  Or perhaps you just met someone and no one has a pen around the BBQ grill to write that person’s contact information down?

We know you have a lousy memory.  What to do?  Do you trust yourself to remember?  Of course not!

How about talking to yourself and forgetting about it until you can take care of it later?  YES!  Here’s how. . . Read the rest of this entry »

Get an Unlimited Storage Email Account at Yahoo! Mail Free

Do you ever delete messages, not because they’re useless, but rather just because you’re running out of space in you account?

Do you remember the other year when Google launched the account size war for email on April 1st with their free 1 GB Gmail accounts?  Quickly, Yahoo!Mail and others upped their limits.  To this day, Google has been ever increasing storage limits for all users — it’s now over 2GB per account.  But for some, this is not enough – especially with everyone emailing you video clips and hi-res photos they took recently.

Yahoo! is now the first to make a move to make storage limits a moot point in the email wars. . . Read the rest of this entry »

One of the neat features of Gmail is a one liner at the top of your “Inbox” called “Webclips” — it auto-refreshes and rotates headlines from various interesting sites on the web.  A great function of Webclips in Gmail is that you can customize the feed so that it can scan your favorite blogs too.

One of the better features of the Samsung Blackjack i607 is that since it uses Windows Mobile, you have the ability to set-up multiple POP3 email accounts so that you can read & respond to emails using each respective email account — I have a personal email account, gmail email account, a business email account, the synchronized Outlook account from my desktop, and the SMS/MMS messaging account that I manage on my AT&T Blackjack PDA phone right now.

Instead of “backing out” of an email account to get back to the total list of email/messaging accounts and then selecting the next email account you want to manage and drilling down again to get to that email list, there’s an easier shortcut that bypasses all that clicking.
