How To Send Free Text Messages To Cell Phones
Everyone has a cell phone. And sometimes you don’t want to talk to them – either you’re busy or you know they are busy or you just don’t want to get caught in a conversation with the person you’re thinking about – so you just want to get them some information. Text messaging is perfect for that.
But most carriers charge you 15 cents or more per text message just to send them. Or you don’t have your cell phone with you or you don’t have a good signal in the buildling.
If you want to send a text message, you can do it for free a la Google from their SendToPhone webpage: http://www.Google.com/sendtophone
You can send a free text message to any friend with a cell phone on these cell phone carrier networks:
Alaska Communications Systems Alltel
Cellular South CellularOne
Centennial Wireless Cincinnati Bell
Midwest Wireless Nextel
Sprint SunCom Wireless
US Cellular Verizon
Virgin Mobile Western WirelessUnfortunately, I can’t access this page from my Windows Mobile Internet Explorer application on my Samsung Blackjack — otherwise, I’d be able to send text message from my cell phone free all the time.
Currently, I use a workaround when using my Samsung Blackjack to send free text messages on my cell phone.
