Using Your Blackberry for More Than e-Mail
Blackberry = email. Period. Right?
With the introduction of the Blackberry Curve and other models, RIM has tried to break out of that “email” shell and bring web browsing and other smart phone features into the minds of the customer.
But the problem so far has been that there just aren’t many useful 3rd party applications to help Blackberry addicts use it for anything other than that good ol’ email application. . . here’s another attempt to help the Blackberry user to try something new. . .
There’s a new free downloadable application called Digby that the WSJ just reviewed. It’s a shopping application — which I don’t know will actually be a hit, because just how often do you want to pick-up your phone and BUY something?
The Digby app can be downloaded for the BlackBerry 7100, 7130, 7290, 7520, 8100 (called the Pearl), 8300 (the Curve), 8700, 8703, 8705, 8800, 8830 — it has to be directly downloaded. So you use the web browser and go to digby.com/download to grab the application.
