Mentos + Diet Coke Guiness Book World Record

I previously tried to make a Mentos + Diet Coke Eruption for “V is for Volcano” during Letter “V” Week at my daughter’s school 2 weeks ago, and it was tons of fun.

Today, some guys made it into the Guiness Book of World Records with 500 HUNDRED Mentos fountains together at once.

Full-Screen Classic Arcade Games

Everyone has fond memories of those “classic” arcade games like Pac-Man, Frogger, Tetris, etc.  Back in the good ol’ days when games were only a quarter! :-)

Now you can relive your memories right here, right now — on the web with full-screen versions of those same games: Read the rest of this entry »

How To Keep Your Internet Explorer Browser Kid-Safe and Filter Out Bad Sites

The World Wide Web is sometimes the WILD Wide Web, much of it to which you don’t want your kids to be exposed.

Of course you may trust your kids, but little things like misspelled urls, innocent searches with keywords with double meanings, etc can lead your kids down the wrong path — all due to no fault of your child. . . Read the rest of this entry »

List of mp3 Players, Smartphones, Cellphones and Other Devices That Work With Yahoo!Music Unlimited mp3 Download Service “Out Of The Box”

I’ve been evaluating the Yahoo!Music Unlimited mp3 Download service for my Samsung Blackjack recently and find that the $6/month for unlimited access to 2 million songs to be a pretty good value. The 150 radio stations is also pretty good to have. Having access to all these songs on my desktop + my cell phone is pretty convenient.

There are of course a bunch of other devices that’s compatible straight out of the box. Good news for owners of these devices, although most of them don’t know. Here’s the list of mp3 players, cell phones, media players, smart phones and other devices that are compatible: Read the rest of this entry »

How To Send Free Text Messages To Cell Phones

Everyone has a cell phone.  And sometimes you don’t want to talk to them – either you’re busy or you know they are busy or you just don’t want to get caught in a conversation with the person you’re thinking about – so you just want to get them some information.  Text messaging is perfect for that.

But most carriers charge you 15 cents or more per text message just to send them.  Or you don’t have your cell phone with you or you don’t have a good signal in the buildling.

If you want to send a text message, you can do it for free a la Google from their SendToPhone webpage: http://www.Google.com/sendtophone

You can send a free text message to any friend with a cell phone on these cell phone carrier networks:

Alaska Communications Systems Alltel

AT&T Cingular

Cellular South CellularOne

Centennial Wireless Cincinnati Bell

Helio MetroPCS

Midwest Wireless Nextel

Omnipoint Qwest

Sprint SunCom Wireless

T-Mobile Unicel

US Cellular Verizon

Virgin Mobile  Western Wireless

Unfortunately, I can’t access this page from my Windows Mobile Internet Explorer application on my Samsung Blackjack — otherwise, I’d be able to send text message from my cell phone free all the time.

Currently, I use a workaround when using my Samsung Blackjack to send free text messages on my cell phone.

This ain’t no gadget tip, no how-to tutorial, no website review, nothing like that.
