Samsung Blackjack Tip: How To Perform A Hard Master Reset on the Samsung Blackjack i607 [video]

Although I clearly still love the Samsung Blackjack even after the release of the iPhone, I came across a little glitch last week (which is a MICROSOFT PROBLEM, not Samsung Blackjack issue) with Windows Mobile. It would not let me re-boot past the Windows Mobile start-up screen. This problem started after I upgraded to ActiveSync 4.5.

AT&T Wireless / Blackjack tech support told me to go back to ActiveSync 4.2 becuase 4.5 wasn’t as stable in their experience. So uninstalling I went.

In the meantime, I had to get my phone back to normal so I could re-sync with the old ActiveSync.

After trying the normal troubleshooting, I just said, it was easier to do a hard master reset and wipe the phone clean. However, AT&T tier 1 support didn’t know how, since you had to be at the Windows Mobile desktop to do a “hard reset” supposedly.

Luckily, I asked to go to Tier 2 support, and as I guessed, there was another way.

Video Resource List for Churches

Churches are finally embracing multimedia.

It’s not just the big-time mega churches that offer worship services with video, projection screens, etc.

The local church is able embrace technology with some simple things like a pc and a overhead projector. Read the rest of this entry »

So here’s a clear example of how the iPhone hype has gotten out of control.

Speculation of an iPhone Nano model at $299 based on a new Apple patent issued in July made everyone smile — actually it make everyone go bonkers about the next iPhone.  But like everything else that sounds too good to be true. . . Read the rest of this entry »

How to Add Irresistible Upsell Offers or Advertising To Your Website

As a website owner, no matter what type of business you have, you have to figure out ways to monetize the traffic that you receive.

Of course, one of the most popular ways right now is to add contextual text ads from Google Adsense or Yahoo! Publisher’s Network, etc.  Classic banner ads from CJ.com, Linkshare.com and others can also be profitable as long as the offers you promote are relevant and complementary to the content and products you present to the visitors.

One of the newest tactics is one that doesn’t take up more real estate on you website, yet catches the eye of almost every single visitor to your site and is so understated that it actually creates a clickstream to whatever landing page you desire — whether it be an upsell offer, a 3rd party advertisement or even a promotional offer for one of your star products. Powerpoint Tip: Stop Following Orders

Did you know that Powerpoint turns 20 this year!

The creators Dennis Austin & Robert Gaskins both readily admit that there are tons and tons of BAD Powerpoint presentations and users.

The original intent of Powerpoint was to use it as a SUPPORTIVE tool to your presentation, not to bore the audience to death by dragging them through an entire detailed presentation — even when the content on the next couple of slides are irrelevant or already covered or just plain moot now based on the discussion in the room.

One of my best and most used tips is something that helps keep presentations alive and focused on the information you want to deliver to the audience in real time — the ability to jump to specific slides within a presentation ON DEMAND, AT WILL. Everyone I’ve shared this with found it incredibly useful and you could see a smirk reveal iteself when they started to imagine how useful it would be in a live powerpoint presentation.

It’s so simple, yet you’d think only powerusers and Powerpoint Magicians would have these super powers. Here’s how. . .

What’s for dinner?

It’s 5:30pm right now, and my stomach is starting to growl.  It’s dinnertime, and I haven’t had a good STEAK in awhile.

Even though we have the Weber grill ready to go on the deck, we just are not in the habit of buying big fat juicy steaks.  I’m now beginning to reconsider.

Perhaps completely off topic, but Omaha Steaks just opened up a retail store in our town.  Although everyone on Earth has probably heard of the company, I don’t think most of us have actually seen their food in person.

It was actaully pretty impressive to see their food in person, not in a pretty catalog photo.

And to top it off, I just found a great online offer that basically gives 40 items for $69 – and includes 5 hamburgers, a 6 piece cutlery set and a free cutting board.  Can’t really complain about that.

They call it the “Supreme Sampler“.  And the savings is actually decent.  If you bought all this at ShopRite, you’d definitely pay over $100 for it all.

  • steaks2 (5 oz.) Filet Mignons
  • 4 (5 oz.) Top Sirloins
  • 4 (4 oz.) Boneless Pork Chops
  • 2 (4.5 oz.) Stuffed Sole with Scallops and Crab
  • 8 (3 oz.) Gourmet Franks
  • 10 (2.8 oz.) Potatoes au Gratin
  • 4 (4 oz.) Omaha Steaks Burgers
  • 6 Free Steak Hamburgers
  • Free 6 piece cutlery set
  • Free Cutting Board
  • All 40 items + cutlery & chopping board = $70 + shipping

Makes me want to have steak really soon!  Perhaps I’ll drive to the store and pick-up some MEAT in a few minutes.

P.S.  For the dog owners that have nothing else to do but pamper their pet to death, they also sell doggie steak treats.  OMG!!)!(*!(*#$%!!!!!!!

Beware of Possible $250 Extra Expense When Buying The iPhone

I’m sure you’ve thought about it long and hard.

You’ve heard all about the magic the iPhone can do as well as considered some of the iPhone drawbacks.

You’re finally now ready to find $600 to buy the iPhone and you drive to the store thinking that you’ll pick one up, go home and start using the phone.

iphone horror

Guess what, some customers are now being required to cough up an additional $250.00 for the same device as the guy behind them in line — and you won’t find out till you get back home.  Here’s why.
